Peter Fleming Promoted to Co-Managing Partner

Wilke Partner Peter E. Fleming, CPA, CFE has been named Co-Managing Partner, effective immediately. His dual role will allow him to remain a core member of the Partner team while contributing to overall firm growth and strategy.  

Says Founder and Co-Managing Partner David Wilke, “Peter has developed outstanding leadership abilities through his tenure as a partner. Through the significant growth and changes we endured over the past few years, Peter has earned tremendous respect from our managers and partners, as well as our critically important administrative team. As the lead Attest Partner in our firm, Peter is a natural to be Co-Managing Partner. In order to help maintain great relationships with our clients, and team, Peter has agreed to accept additional responsibilities.”

David further elaborated:

“With the addition of Peter as Co-Managing Partner, our firm would be able to seek growth opportunities as well. Peter leads our firm with his displays of integrity, work ethic, humbleness, and tireless support for our team and our clients. Our firm would not have achieved consistent growth without Peter’s dedication and loyalty. 

Peter joined the firm in 2005 and has been on the executive leadership team since 2008. He leads Wilke’s audit, fraud, and forensic accounting engagements. His practice also focuses on income tax planning, business planning, and consulting in areas like technology, entity selection, and M&A transactions. Peter works with private corporations and closely-held businesses with revenues ranging from $500,000 to $185 million, located across Pennsylvania and 14 other states.  

In addition to forensic accounting, fraud examinations, and business consulting, Peter has also served as an expert witness in more than two dozen civil matters and four criminal cases. Peter concurrently serves as CFO at SDLC Partners, a Pittsburgh-based healthcare consulting firm.  

Prior to his career in public accounting, Peter worked as a Controller and CFO in private industry. He has a demonstrated corporate finance acumen, having reorganized three companies from bankruptcy to achieve acquisitions valued at more than six times EBITDA.  

Peter is a member of AICPA, PICPA, and the ACFE, and remains active in his community as well. Peter currently volunteers on the Financial Management Team at South Hills Bible Chapel and is a member of the Board of Directors at Mainstay Life Services and Church Army USA. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh.
