Throughout David Cooke’s nearly 30-year public accounting career, his practice has focused on tax planning, compliance, and research. David joined Wilke in 2002 and was promoted to Partner and 2005. His earliest memories of the firm were those of opportunity; he remembers getting involved with networking groups within two weeks of joining, and how that kind of entrepreneurial attitude was encouraged and rewarded.

David’s client work is concentrated in real estate, oil and gas, and energy. He values the support he can provide to clients during challenging situations. In one instance, David’s real estate client was facing a potentially large tax liability as a result of a multi-year IRS audit. David met with the IRS frequently over several months and brought the audit to a successful conclusion.

David earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Robert Morris University. He is heavily involved with ACRE of Pittsburgh, Inc., a local chapter of the National Real Estate Investors Association.
