UPCOMING TAX DEADLINE DUE DATES

Major Tax Deadlines for September 15, 2017

  • September 15 – Third quarter installment of 2017 individual estimated income tax is due.
  • September 15 – Filing deadline for 2016 tax returns for calendar-year corporations that received an automatic extension of the March 15 filing deadline.
  • September 15 – Filing deadline for 2016 partnership tax returns that received an extension of the March 15 filing deadline.
  • September 15 – Due date for calendar-year corporations to pay third installment of 2017 estimated tax.
  • September 15 – Due date for calendar-year trusts and estates to pay third installment of 2017 estimated tax.

 

Major Tax Deadlines for October 16, 2017

  • October 16 – Filing deadline for 2016 individual tax returns on extension.
  • October 16 – If you converted a regular IRA to a Roth IRA in 2016, and now want to switch back to a regular IRA, you have until October 16, 2017, to do so without penalty.
  • October 16 – Due date for retirement or employee benefit plan returns (5500 series) for calendar-year plans on extension from the July due date.
  • October 16 – Due date for FINCen Form 114 (FBAR) on extension from the April due date.
