Audit & Assurance Manager
The individual in this full-time position will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of audited, reviewed, and compiled financial statements for assigned clients. We prefer three years of professional audit and attest experience, however, if you possess all of the traits of an entrepreneur—passion, self-starter, excellent communication skills, flexibility, excellent vision, and confidence, we want to talk to you!
Expectations for consideration
- CPA designation and Public Accounting experience
- Perform audit procedures, over cash, A/R, inventories property and equipment, prepaid, A/P, accrued expenses, debt, and general income statement accounts in client financial statements and propose adjusting journal entries when needed
- Review accounting transactions and consider the appropriate application of generally accepted accounting principles
- Manage responsible audit testing areas to ensure working papers are completed timely
- Communicate with the client(s) to identify and assess existing accounting processes, internal controls, and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Prepare practical recommendations to improve controls, cash flow, quality, effectiveness, efficiency, and profitability during attest engagements
- Participate as an advisor in a wide variety of management requests: acquisition and divestiture due diligence, fraud investigations, process mapping, improvement teams for attest clients
- Knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, and governmental accounting and auditing standards
- Working knowledge of accounting and tax software, including QuickBooks and Sage Software
- Strong work ethic, professional demeanor, and client service focus with the ability to act as primary client contact
- Ability to demonstrate the highest personal ethics, integrity, and confidentiality
- Travel to and from client locations as needed
